We’re excited to announce the first offering of our 2024 Mindfulness Book Club series! Written by Dr. Jan Chozen Bays, Mindful Eating: A Guide to Rediscovering a Healthy and Joyful Relationship with Food helps us cultivate a better relationship with food and our body. It’s a great way to start the new year, especially if you’re contemplating resolutions related to diet, exercise, and weight loss.

Mindful eating allows us to bring our full attention to the process of eating, which can result in more satisfaction with our food and compassion for ourselves in the struggles we face as we eat. This book includes many exercises that invite us to tune into the body’s innate wisdom and unique needs, while bringing curiosity and non-judgmental awareness to our food habits and patterns. In this book club, Jaclyn Thomas, LMSW, will lead you in meditations and exercises from the book. You’ll also have the opportunity to connect and share with others. 


We will meet bi-weekly on Tuesdays from 6-7 PM EST on Zoom, starting on January 9th. The specific dates are 1/9, 1/23, 2/6, and 2/20. This group is open to everyone, and it will be conducted in English. Please note that—although this will be conducted by a SoHo CBT + M therapist—this is not group therapy. It’s a book club.

The $100 cost includes all four meetings and a copy of the book (if you live in the United States and sign-up before January 3rd)!
