Located in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City, we specialize in delivering compassionate and evidence-based treatment to diverse individuals, couples, and families. In particular, we focus on providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), integrated with mind/body approaches, such as mindfulness, meditation, and yoga. Further, we strive to provide culturally affirming, anti-oppressive care in an inviting, respectful, and confidential environment coupled with a strong appreciation for diversity, intersectionality, and societal influences.
Currently, we are hiring a psychologist and postdoctoral fellow.
Full-time Psychologist
Minimum Qualifications
Degree from an APA-accredited Ph.D./Psy.D. program in clinical or counseling psychology
Completion of an APA-accredited internship
License (or license-eligible) for practice as a psychologist in New York
Prior training in CBT and other evidence-based psychotherapies
Professional qualities, including a strong work ethic, comfort working independently, curiosity, professional demeanor, detail-oriented, a congenial and collaborative working style, warmth, sense of humor, and a readiness to address multicultural issues
Share a dedication to helping others and participating in a practice committed to social justice. This person would recognize the inherent privilege, power, and commitment involved in being a therapist, and thus be willing to reflect non-defensively on sessions and examine their own issues as they influence the therapeutic process. They are also open to seeing how these same issues arise professionally when interacting with colleagues.
Desired Qualifications
Demonstrated interest and/or experience in any of the following specializations are especially encouraged to apply: couples therapy, contemplative practices, working with BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and gender non-binary populations.
Familiarity with the professional use of social media

Structure
Postdoctoral fellows will…
Start in the summer or fall of 2024
Provide a mix of in-person and virtual sessions (20 - 25 sessions per week)
Receive 2 hours of individual supervision, provided by Dr. Jonathan Kaplan and another psychologist in the practice
Participate in our “Supe. for Lunch” program, which alternates weekly between group consultation and skills-building book club
Receive training in CBT and ACT
Receive training in Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT), an evidence-based therapy for couples
Receive training in Taoist Cognitive Therapy (TCT), an evidence-based treatment for anxiety derived from Chinese philosophy
