The Female Experience
When you start therapy with me, I want you to feel welcome, at ease, and accepted. My goal is to help you understand why you do/feel/act the way you do, while helping you navigate this difficult world with compassion, kindness, and grace.
Mindfulness is a large part of my work that we can explore together if you’re interested. Some mindfulness practices may include meditation, body scans, qigong, loving-kindness, and self-compassion. The work of Thich Nhat Hanh, Joseph Goldstein, Sharon Salzberg, and Mark Epstein has been largely influential in my personal and professional life, and their insight and wisdom permeates my work and ethos.
It was my own journey of mindfulness and self-discovery that led me to pursue a career as a psychotherapist. Prior to receiving my Master of Social Work from NYU, I was working in international fashion sales. Since becoming a social worker and psychotherapist, I have provided psycho-social training and psychotherapy to adults with depression, anxiety, developmental disabilities, and substance misuse.
When not doing the work I love, you can find me at a meditation retreat, a dance class, or cooking up (mostly) vegan treats!
