Cassandra Goojha, LCSW - Therapist

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Cassandra Goojha, LCSW

I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from The New School and Master of Social Work degree from New York University. I have 10 years of experience working as a social worker and therapist in various mental health settings in NYC, including hospitals and community-based mental health clinics. As a therapist, I specialize in

  • Depression and anxiety disorders

  • Healthcare workers experiencing stress, vicarious trauma, and burnout

  • LGBTQ+ community

  • Self-esteem issues

  • Young adults navigating life transitions

  • Relationship conflict and family dynamics

In my practice, I utilize techniques from CBT and ACT and am currently pursuing psychoanalytic training. Buddhism and meditation practice has been very influential in my life, and mindfulness is something that we can explore together if you are interested. I have attended meditation retreats and completed the Mindfulness year of Nalanda Institute’s Contemplative Psychotherapy Program.

My approach is guided by an awareness of the ways in which trauma and sociopolitical forces impact our well-being and life experience. I am dedicated to building a relationship with you grounded in trust, attunement, and compassion. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgemental environment where you can explore new ways of relating to yourself and others. Our work together will also focus on building resilience and developing coping strategies. My goal is to support you in creating an enriching and fulfilling life based on your values.
